Lunar Eclipse

The lunar eclipse was hard to capture. The Moon became quite dim during the eclipse.

Captured with a 300mm lens and some slight cropping, not as sharp as I would have liked, but difficult under the circumstances. 16 June 2011.

Settings: 300mm, f/4.0, 1/6 second, ISO4000. tripod, remote cable, focussed using live view and with mirror lock up.

This type of image is an excellent test for your equipment sharpness and your long lens technique.
