I went for a visit to Derby for their comedy festival and to spend the weekend with Gemma.
Saturday night we went to see two comedy shows. First to The Royal Standard to see Comedy Tapas - a bunch of comedians, each with only a few minutes on stage.
One of the comedians was the lovely ball of sunshine that is Ishi Khan. We saw her last year in Leicester. She is such a bundle of positivity and happiness!
After that we went to see Alex Leam do his show at The Old Bell. We'd already seen him doing a bit at the Tapas too.
After Alex's excellent show we went to The Crown for a last drink before going home. What a lovely surprise to bump into our lovely friend Sammy-Jo who we hadn't seen for ages! She was out with another friend Tina, and Sammy-Jo's daughter Kayleigh who was just a delight and wonderful company!
It was a very, very full day all in all!
