Keep on Trying

Yesterday on the beach had been too sunny and not enough dramatic clouds, so again my mind wandered to driftwood. I strolled along the strand line ,with a wealth of wonderful assorted lengths and shapes of driftwood. This beautiful twisted eroded oak branch just grabbed my eye, and I had to use it. It was about eight feet long. The only problem was, it was a long walk to low tide to where the good reflections were. After the branch was in place, it was back to the pebbles for inspiration, At first I chose a much too heavy heart shaped large pebble which just kept toppling the branch. More thought led to the idea of perfectly round pebbles. You'd think they would be the default, but there are so few , they took some finding. I managed a balance with one, then two, but decided to add another large flat stone. It had evolved wonderfully. It only lasted a few minutes before the strong wind blew it over. Keep on trying is by British Sea Power, this one took so long .

p.s. it was such a strong wind that it blew my tripod over and my wide angle filled with sand and water !!!! Quite usual for me .
