Fixing fettuccine
Leslie Anne made some fettuccine for her version of Shrimp Scampi last Saturday. The pasta noodles were quite innocent, but her shrimp sauce turned out FIERY. My girlfriend mixed together and cooked a sauce that included a squeezed lemon, shallots, garlic, fresh parsley, red pepper flakes, and the shrimp. She ate a small sample in the grocery store, but the printed recipe must have misprinted the amount of red pepper flakes because it was far more than a "critical mass."
