Hazy sunrise, Madrid, Spain
Concretely at 8:17 am, this Thursday the warm sun rose over the horizon through a hazy atmosphere caused by the umpteenth Saharan dust invasion in Spain. Yesterday the air quality was really bad and even perilous for people with breathing issues.
Are we really in October? If we take a look the the highest and lowest temperatures reached yesterday in Madrid, one could definitely say no. The maximum reached was 82F (28ºC), while the lowest was about 56F (13ºC).
As this were not enough, precipitations are being extremely scarce, and the reservoirs in Madrid are currently at 55% of their total capability. Therefore, this Autumn is being warm and dry once again.
At least, the hazy atmosphere with the dust in suspension, offered us this nice sunrise above Madrid-Barajas Airport Terminal 4.

Amanecer bajo la calima, Madrid, España
Concretamente a las 8:17 horas de este jueves el cálido sol asomaba por el horizonte bajo una atmósfera calimosa provocada por la enésima invasión de polvo africano en España. Ayer la calidad del aire era realmente mala e incluso peligrosa para las personas con problemas respiratorios.
¿Estamos realmente en Octubre? Si echamos un vistazo a las temperaturas máximas y mínimas alcanzadas ayer en Madrid, definitivamente se podría decir que no. La máxima fue de unos 28ºC, mientras que la mínima fue de unos 13ºC.
Por si fuera poco, las precipitaciones están siendo extremadamente escasas, y los embalses de Madrid se encuentran actualmente al 55% de su capacidad total. Por lo tanto, este otoño vuelve a ser cálido y seco.
Al menos, el ambiente de calima con el polvo en suspensión, nos ofreció este bonito amanecer sobre la Terminal 4 del Aeropuerto de Madrid-Barajas.
