Bare-faced Curassow (Crax fasciolata) P4A3471

The female Bare-faced Curassow is often considered more visually complex and striking than the male due to her intricate plumage patterns, despite the general rule in birds where males are more ornamental. While the male is characterized by a mostly black body with a white belly and a yellow knob on its bill, the female possesses a more diverse colour palette.
