Sony TR-67, Circa 1957, Made in Japan by SONY CORP.

Beautiful and rare SONY transistor radio, I was very lucky to find it at my favorite flea market. It was very dirty so I disassemble it to give it a good cleaning and now it looks great although it shows the passage of time and wear by the use. The cabinet has slightly trapezoid shape and the slide rule tuning dial has numbers and CD marks painted on the reverse side. But what sets it apart is the beautiful "V" -shaped brass plate topped with the SONY scutcheon.

The chassis has six SONY transistors (2T512, 2T520, 2T524, 2T66 and 2T84 x 2), as well as three SONY diodes (1T41 and 1T23 x 2); and requires three 1.5V "C" size batteries.
