Philmar M792 No 4 Leisure Time - jigsaw
Make: Philmar
Serial: M792
Title: No 4 Leisure Time
Series: New Realm
Pieces: 450 (25 x 18).
Size: 19 ½" x 14 ½".
Date: -
Bar Code: -
Origin: -
At what point do you decide that a used jigsaw puzzle has sufficient pieces missing that it isn't worth continuing with the build? If you are me, then the answer seems to be not at all. If anything, I want to find out just how many pieces are missing.
After assembling the edge and discovering five pieces missing (one appeared later) it was fairly obvious that the picture was not going to be complete. After completing the horizon and the sky it became apparent that the missing count was going to be significant.
The water and craft followed, finishing off with the greenery and a good look in the box and around the puzzle table in the hope of finding some loose pieces, before taking the final count of the missing.
Other titles in this series:
No 1 Springtime
No 2 Full Sail
No 3 Market Place
No 4 Leisure Time
Of interest is that the French and German translations on the box have more information for Nos 1 and 4:
No 1 Spring in England
No 4 Leisure time in Cambridge
Sadly, no less than 18 pieces missing :-(
Bought more jigsaws…
DONE: 255 puzzles (171556 nominal piece count). TO DO: 902 puzzles (1061086 nominal piece count).
