Pine Park, Utah - Real and rock pine tree

A supervolcano explosion generated these ash flows that eroded into these cone shaped structures resembling (supposedly) pine trees. A supervolcano explosion in this area is the largest explosion known so far, with 5500 cubic kilometer rock ejected, more than five time the size of the Yellowstone explosion. Enough rock and ash to fill the grand canyon. This explosion was one of the smaller ones (as these explosions go).
