66591+66510 Silk Mills
I'd like to apologise for the lack of updates lately. I haven't been out with my camera much recently for various reasons, but I hope this will start to change with Spring now in full-throttle.
With what is possibly the shortest trip working in the UK at the grand total of a 2 mile return journey, 66591 and 66510 arrive into Fairwater Yard (Silk Mills bridge is visible in the background) with the very-early 6C76 12.49 Bishops Lydeard (Norton Fitzwarren)-Fairwater Yard empty recycled ballast, comprising of 2 HOBC wagons and a IFA barrier wagon. Timetabled to spend 2 hours at the Norton Triangle complex, it couldn't have spent more than 30 minutes there on this particular occasion. What's more, I was extremely thankful to be able to grab two shots in short proximity of each other of this rarely photographed working - one not in sun and this one, taken in one of the longest sunny gaps between rain showers on an indifferent day for the weather.
