Jesmond Old Railway Station, Newcastle
The old Railway Station at Jesmond is now a Public House called 'The Carriage', named after the 1912 built Great Northern Railway carriage incorporated into 'The Valley Junction 397' Indian Restaurant.
Jesmond Station was relocated just North of this site in a cut and cover tunnel upon conversion of the North Tyneside Loop line into the Tyne & Wear Metro system. A single track ECS only connecting line still follows the route to just South of Manors railway Station, where the line veers off underground to connect with Manors Metro Station to allow a short cut for empty stock trains to access South Gosforth Depot without going all the way around the coast
