Auburn Quarry Crags

When the trail took us over the hill, at first it looked like something out of a Lord of the Rings movie.

 

This site near Auburn is what remains of an old limestone quarry used by a local cement company. After the mining activity here concluded, the remaining rock cliffs became an ideal place for local technical climbers to hone their skills on the weekends.
