Second Geodetic Levelling, Scotland (1936-52).

Flush bracket G643 was used during the second geodetic levelling of Scotland, and was levelled with a height of 86.2030 feet [26.2747 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Perth to St Andrews levelling line. Geodetic line G.260, levelled during 1942. The surveyor's description was N face, NW angle of building, junction of High Street & Woodriffe Road.

 

This marker was last verified in 1966. The OS Online Archive gives the description: No 2 Clinton Street, NW angle, N face.

 

SITE VISIT

FB on left gable of house by front corner beside lamppost. Pavementside access. Bracket in good condition.
