Third Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1950-68).

Flush bracket 11412 was used during the third geodetic levelling of England & Wales. It was included on the Hexham to Hawick levelling line. Geodetic line G.165, levelled and verified during 1968. The surveyor's description was NE face of parapet of bridge, SW side of road, SE bank of Spithope Burn.

 

This marker was last verified in 1968. The OS online archive gives the description simply as parapet of bridge, SW side of road.

 

SITE VISIT

BM 224.10m. On low parapet behind crash barrier and low grass. FB in good condition.
