Approached from SSW. Parking for several cars on the line of the old road at NM959794. Up via mapped the estate tracks through Glen Fionnlighe to NM991842 and straight up the steep SSW ridge of the hill to the trig column. The Vanessa is in fair condition. It has minor damage to the top and overall weathering to the trunk surface. The spider centre is plugged with tar. The flush bracket faces due south, compass measurement 180°. Vented through three sight holes, the right (east) port remains plugged, the pillar bolt is visible. The spectacular full 360° panorama includes a striking aspect of Ben Nevis.
