The Stelea Monastery in Targoviste is a Romanian Orthodox monastery of monks that was built in the second half of the 16th century by the merchant Stelea.
👉 The «Resurrection of the Lord» Church was built between 1644-1645 centuries by Vasile Lupu on the site of the older church founded by Stelea the merchant. The architectural style of the church has a Moldovan specificity, being the only church built in Wallachia on the model of the Moldavian church Trei Ierarhi in Iași.
The bell tower was built in the 16th century. The surrounding walls with traces of cells date from the 17th century as well as the door body.
Cell body (west side), was built in the 17th century on foundations dating from the 15th century and rebuilt in the 19th century.
