Bee eater in Flight

This may be my favorite photo. Not because it's particularly beautiful or unique (although my favorite birds are bee eaters) but because it took my four days to make this shot. Four days of waiting and watching and stopping every time we say a bee eater perched on a tree. Figuring out the perfect settings and shooting only blur here or there. But I froze her in time. I froze her majestic wings and finally got to see what the moment of flight looks like. It's my favorite so far. This was shot in Chobe National Park in Botswana during a four day photography safari with Pangolin Photo Safaris.
