Canyon del Muerto (Canyon de Chelly)

This magnificent canyon is located in north eastern Arizona. Although not a US national park (it is free to visit), its dramatic landscapes equal those of major parks.

 

The canyons are still home to the Navajo community, some of whom live and work on the canyon floor.
