SM16 Global Parliamentary Conference
The 2016 Global Parliamentary Conference will take place on 10-12 April 2016 in Washington DC, in the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund headquarters. The Global Parliamentary Conference is the Parliamentary Network’s flagship event, co-organized by the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank & IMF, the World Bank Group, and the IMF. It brings together some 200 Parliamentarians from over 100 countries, leaders from civil society and partner organizations, in addition to top officials from the World Bank and the IMF. Participants have the occasion to hear about the most recent work of these organizations and discuss pressing issues in international development. Confirmed keynote speakers include World Bank President Jim Yong Kim and IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde.
The agenda is packed with stimulating and informative sessions, as well as many opportunities for discussion. It is also an occasion for the Parliamentary Network to highlight objectives and priorities for its work over the next year.
