What Shimano meant to say is that the three planet gears have a pink mark. These marks must all be turned to point to the inside of the hub (opposite the way it is in this picture) before sliding on the ring gear. After sliding on the ring gear, check to see that the planet gears are in sync with the pink marks pointing inwards.
