Chicago Line
Portage, Pennsylvania
On June 10th, 2019, the Conrail era PL intermidiate signals fell in Portage, PA. The Pittsburgh Line has been a foamers dream the past few years, being filled with PPL's every few miles and the occasional decent piece of power. With word that the position lights would be gone before summer, I set out on this March day to clean up on some of the stuff I never shot. I'm very glad I went because the trip paid off. Pictured here, the helpers on NS 740 push east while splitting the PT-258 intermidiates at Portage, PA. These slightly unique signals replaced a signal bridge that once stood here.
