Curious Crow
As I arrived at Beluga Slough in Homer, another person was leaving, but in her wake there were about 15 crows who appeared to be asking for food. I discovered that several were still working at peanuts still in the husk. This crow flew up to this post and gave me a quizzical look as though asking, "Will you feed us too?"
I read that Alaska is home to one crow, the northwestern crow. Then I read that this species has been absorbed into the American Crow (Corvus brachyrhynchos). Now I'm curious...
