Approaching maturity slowly...
I captured this young bald eagle in a tree near Portage Alaska. It looks like dirty feathers but I believe this to be a young bird as it doesn't have the clean white of a fully mature eagle. It takes several years for an eagle to fully mature. It was eating some food - what I couldn't tell - in its claws on the branch.
