The mighty prehistoric beast surveys his dominion
Well, not prehistoric and not actually a beast, but a colorful eastern painted turtle surveys its pond at CBEC hoping that some succulent juicy insect might offer itself up as lunch. Yeah, well, Walter MItty could dream too.
Anyway, I loved the colors in this shot and turtles, although slow moving, tend to drop into the water at the first sign of danger. So, I was happy this one stayed up long enough for me to take some photos of it.
