Creativity

In a recent blog post on Edutopia, teachers discuss the science and practice of creativity. Creativity can be built in part of a character education program embedded within the curriculum, however, it is necessary to foster it each and every day. I hope to foster creativity is every aspect of my classroom. I can do this by providing choice to students regarding assignment mediums (powerpoint, video, paper, scrapbook, etc.). Creativity can also be fostered within myself. For example, things do not always turn out the way you had planned. Teaching requires thinking on the spot, trying out new strategies, and rearranging lessons. In addition, when creating lessons, I hope to be creative and innovative to foster character education!
