I used Shakira, Destiny's Child, Corinne Bailey Rae, Gorillaz, Evanscene and the Killers to teach "She looks humina humina" or "It sounds humina humina." in the process, i attempted to teach the killers' line from Somebody Told Me: "You had a boyfriend who looked my girlfriend..." the kids STRAIGHT UP didn't get it. they didn't get the concept, which i thought was pretty funny, given the androgeny of fashion... perhaps that's why.
