Objective 3: Composition Techniques
Pattern: There is no pattern. Pattern is something thing that you see consecutively. For example, like stripes. There is nothing consecutive about this picture, therefore, there’s no pattern. I also didn’t want a pattern in this photo because I wanted the drink to be the only thing so you eye goes to it more
Objective 7: Photographic Styles
Type/style of photography: Food Photography.
The camera mode: I used Av mode in photography because I can change how blurry the background is. In food photography it’s important to focus on just one thing so I used a aperture of 5.6. That’s the lowest aperture you can use and it makes the background very blurry. The higher the aperture the less blurry the background will be.
ISO used: 100. I used an ISO of 100 to make the picture look sharp. The higher the ISO the less sharp the picture will be, there’d be a lot of noise. A higher ISO also takes a faster picture. The lower ISO takes a slower picture but makes the image very sharp.
Focal length: 55mm. I used a focal length of 55mm because if I zoomed out the background would’ve been distracting. In food photography it’s good to focus on just one thing.
