I was thrilled when I saw that these birds had been reported earlier in the day just a few minutes drive away from my house! I called my friend Riley and we drove out to look for them. He spotted a covey of 5 birds and I spotted this covey of 7 birds a bit farther done the road. We weren't sure if they were Partridges or dirt clods so I pulled over and shot this picture and soon after the birds flew farther into the field. Life birds for Riley and I!
