The Congress High Command illustration (1940) by Keshav Shankar Pillai, better known as just ‘Shankar’, in Hindustan Times . He was a pioneering figure in the world of cartoons. He began working as a cartoonist in 1933 and was an active illustrator well into the 1970s. The personalities included Mahatma Gandhi and all other Freedom Fighters.
