Surfacing

Two days ago my family and I were out on our boat around Merry Island in Sechelt and we were watching some Surf Scoters. We were about to leave the area when suddenly this Humpback surfaces ten feet in front of our boat. It was thrilling to say the least! The whale kept surfacing near by until another boat scared it farther away. It was a neat experience seeing the whale so close and it was fairly large , probably around 40 feet long!
