WEEK 46.1 – Horn Lake OfficeMax Closing, Five-Year Anniversary
(cont.) But the more I reflected on posting these pictures, I also struck upon the realization that this year is, in fact, the fifth anniversary of the store closing in the first place. Which, of course, made these rediscovered pictures absolutely perfect to mark the occasion!
I don’t find it particularly necessary to tell you what you’re looking it for each of these descriptions, since – after all – there’s not much you’re looking at anyway; the place is empty! But I suppose it would help to say that we started over at the right side of the storefront, and we’re moving steadily leftward. In this shot we’ve made it to the front doors, where we can see perhaps the most central overview of the deserted salesfloor; surprisingly, there aren’t even any shelving scars to speak of, which makes this scene especially stark, in my opinion. That said, while the crews did clean those scars up, they also left the OfficeMax logo on the floor right inside the entrance completely intact, which is a nice relic :)

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
