Construction who?

Occasionally, we in the [NAME AND ADDRESS WITHHELD] family like to go on walks through Lee’s Summit Park, which lies behind the Hernando Walmart. The Walmart is visible from one portion of the park, and we often walk down to the Walmart parking lot to get back to our car instead of going back through the trail if it’s getting too dark outside. One day when we were out that way – Saturday, April 28th, 2018 – I noticed some fencing up along the right side of the store, and came down from the walking trail to check it out. As you can see here (x2), the entire side parking lot was blocked off by this fence, behind which was some construction equipment and what’s known here on flickr as a “remodel bin.” I was curious as to what was going on, but didn’t give it much of a second thought, and indeed forgot about it until our next time on the trail… (cont.)
