Built in August, 1967 and just a few years from the end of crew members riding the rear of trains on U.S. Class I railroads, Union Pacific CA-9 caboose 25698 poses in fresh paint at UP's Denver, Colorado yard on May 15, 1985.
In town for the annual Transportation Week display at Denver Union Station, the 25698 will join locomotives and freight equipment from Santa Fe, Burlington Northern and Denver & Rio Grande Western.
Retired in May, 1991, the 25698 was removed from service and later donated to the Boys Scouts of America in Las Vegas, Nevada.
