2022 was a year when when things were looking promising in terms of an upgrade of First Cymru's double-deck fleet. This heralded the arrival of a couple of 65-plate Alexander Dennis E40D MMCs from First Glasgow (33980 & 33982), which were soon followed by a similar pair from First West of England (33972 & 33973) and then a further eight with 66-plates (33480-7) at the end of the year arrived from First West Yorkshire. However, sadly the tenure of all 12 was to prove short and they were transferred on to First West of England in July and August 2023,
33972 was one of the pair that arrived from First West of England. They were received in Olympia livery with egg yolk fronts for Services 1 & 2 in Bristol but this gave way to the two-tone blue "Campus to Campus" livery before they entered service.
My shot dates from October 2022 and shows her on Neath Road in the Plasmarl area of Swansea when operating Sunday Service 4A (Singletpn Hospital & Campus-City Centre-Hafod-Landore-Plasmarl-Morriston-Cwmrhydyceirw-Morriston Hospital).
