The number of coaches allocated to megabus.com operations from Stagecoach in South Wales's Cwmbran depot recently reduced in favour of Bristol-based South Gloucesterhire. However, a welcome boost has come in the shape of nine new Plaxton Elite-i-bodied Volvo B11RTs (54285-93), which have replaced a similar number of 61-plate Van Hool Astromegas. A tenth Elite-i has transferred from the Midlands fleet to replace a further Astromega. Thus, the only surviving Astromegas are 61-plate 50238 and 14-plate 50253.
54292 represents the new order in this late November 2017 shot as she leaves Swansea City Bus Station when operating the daily Aberystywth to London diagram, which employs Mid Wales Travel drivers between Aberystwyth and Cardiff, and vice versa.
With the exception of 54285, she and the other seven are looking for names. For what it's worth, my suggestion would be Rita Ray from the late 1970s band Darts, if she's willing.
