Butt Strad (#3)
I call this one the 'Butt Strad' because of its prominent posterior (see the side view of it!). It's another late 1800's Schönbach violin that I completely rebuilt. It had a severe crack on the back that required patching, and I re-did the graduations on the top because it was one of the 'beaver chewed' variety. Now that it's completely restored I'm amazed at how good it actually sounds, because it's not exactly the most beautifully built violin! I'm keeping the unflattering name, though! ;)
