The invention of the educational television is arguable the most important educational technology introduced in the 20th Century. Prior to television, use of motion pictures were limited to film projectors for teaching purposes. With televisions incorporated into schools and classrooms, teachers had a more convenient tool to assist in audiovisual learning to enhance textbook lessons.
