Delayed & Detoured Dalesman.
A strange day all round yesterday caused mainly by the partial closure of the S&C north of Appleby. WCRY's Pendle Dalesman hauled by 8F 48151 was re-routed via Shap. Having scouted around along the Beck at Greenholme trying to find a way across, I eventually gave in and waded in to get to the other side of the beck, thankfully only two other photters witnessed this scene which was a bit hairy considering I was carrying camera, car-keys and mobile phone, none of which like getting wet.
Eventually after standing in the Beck for the best part of an hour the 8F stormed past in fine style very delayed after being looped a couple of times due to her 50mph speed limit.
A big thank you to fellow photter Shep Wooley for the updates on the whereabout's of the train and for saving us getting wet again by showing us the easy way back and for a lift back to the cars.
