The Light
The scene before you was photographed on an early April morning overlooking the Oconaluftee Valley in the Great Smoky Mountains.
The light the shone over the valley on that morning, was incredible, revealing the first signs of Spring in the lower elevations.
It was, and continues to be, one of the most divine displays of light I've ever seen.
As it goes, I’ve always struggled with the big questions, much like everyone else. Faith, to me, has never been clear, yet ever present.
At times I cannot fathom, but in a moment such as in this photo, when divine refulgence pierces through from the Heavens, I know there is a Higher Power that guides us towards the Good.
As written in John 8:12, When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
God is the Light, and the Light is the compass that guides us towards redemption. It enlightens the good and reveals the bad so that it may also become good.
We are innately decent moral beings, that I believe. However, sometimes we just lack the light to show the way.
Therefore, we must remain open with our hearts and with our minds, and allow the light to find us and shine within our lives.
May the Light shine upon You today, and every day in your walks through life.
And while you are outside enjoying Nature as God intended it, may the Light, as always, be in ever in your favor.
