Profile: Gareth was a big city kid who often moved around. Born in Wales, he spent 3 years of childhood there, before moving to Australia at 6, staying there for a year until he was 8. His family decided to move to Winnipeg a month later.
Gareth had difficulties and trouble fitting in due to his dyslexia and ADHD, often looked down as a freak. Despite finishing school, he went on to work in a financial office. However, due to his shyness and personality, he was not treated well by his co-workers due to his inability to read or write, and was reduced to being a paper boy, continued to be given more work or being harassed.
However, Gareth managed to make friends with a colleague, Sean, whom he accepted. The two later become close and started dating. One day, Gareth lost control of his powers at home as they activated (accidental green aura generation), was witnessed by Sean. He later told this incident to every colleague, and Gareth was mocked and laughed at for being a powered freak.
Gareth, who finally had enough, accidentally punched Sean in front of his workplace, declaring their relationship an end for betraying him, and quit his job. He later took up Tai Chi classes as a part of his mediation to control his powers, and worked as a courier due to him being familiar with it quickly.
5 months later (after his breakup with Sean) Gareth had already become a small town hero in his city, with his own custom suit and mastering his chi quickly. He was eventually approached by Shotlighter and his crew, who invited him to join their agency and he accepted. With his experienced skills, he dedicated himself to more training and made friends, become social and open.
Since then, he is the team’s resident brawler, hacker, mediator, anger management coach and occasional medic of his team, helping to hunt down the rogue Exiled Spectres.
Powers and abilities: Chi manipulation, able to heal himself, people and most materials, but cannot not bring them back to life. Gareth uses this power carefully to avoid being used as a target/pawn/weapon. He can generate an aura by focusing, and lately can do this without having immense stress from his training. Through chi harnessing, he is able to increase his partial strength, sense, solidify. Gareth is well prepared when it comes to mediation and martial arts, thus allowing him to be one of the strongest members.
Equipment: Custom suit mixed with new mesh provided by the agency, self woven. Carries some daggers/guns/weapons and is knowledgeable in ancient Chinese history, though has moved on to other lores. Visor that aids him for hacking, analysis and reading.
Personality: Seen as shy and weak, but with a brave heart that he doesn’t really show. After his powers developed and showed control over chi mastery, he is focused, positive despite being awkward sometimes with his inclined personality and jokes.
