Streamliners to Calgary
CPKC Business Train 41B (I think?) heads west around the curve in Maple Lake, continuing its journey from Kansas City to Calgary.
This might've been the one time I was happy with the clouds rolling in. This would've otherwise been a terribly backlit shot.
At first I thought I had no chance to see this one, fearing I missed it. As it turned out, I had to wait 40 minutes... but the wait was worth it.
Could've used the DSLR, but the ProCam app on the iPhone is handy too. There was for a short while uncertainty if one of the heritage SD70s would lead due to battery issues on one of the Fs. But all 3 Fs were running nicely as they rumbled through town without an assist.
