The "fish with blue bones" are commonly referred to as Blackspot Tuskfish (Choerodon schoenleinii), which are types of wrasse fish. These fish are known for their vibrant blue coloration, particularly along the fins and teeth, and their bones also exhibit a blue hue. The blue colour in the bones is due to a pigment called biliverdin, which can accumulate in some fish bones, giving them a blue or green colour.

 

Also known as Bluebone.

Found in the Indian and Western Pacific Oceans.

They have a pale bluish bar along their chin and may have some indistinct vertical saddles along their back.

Their bones can exhibit a blue or green colour due to the pigment biliverdin.
