Mammoth Hot Springs @ Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

"Minerva Spring and Terrace" Activity shifts dramatically around Minerva Terrace—named for the Roman goddess of artists. The travertine cascades formed in the 1990s. Some years, they are dry. Its ornate travertine formations create the look of layer cakes and lace-edged pools.
