PICK Pickens Railroad U18B #9507 departing NS interchange Anderson, SC
It has been about 30 years since I last heard that sweet sound that the U18's produced when under load and switching. The Pickens has long been on the list of roads to shot but no more as in the 1.5 days we spent there we were able to photograph both locals and the Belton Local unit was properly pointed to boot. Here the Anderson job has just departed the NS interchange and will go back up into the industrial parks providing the customers with an afternoon switch.
