2D Methodology Progress

I decided my 2D artwork pertaining to the question, "How does the pursuit of materialism consume people's lives?," would take the shape of an acrylic painting on a 12x12 canvas. On this canvas, I would like to display a non-objective art piece that conveys emotions of envy. To do this, I plan on using brush strokes and colors to convey this feeling of envy. Here, I have gathered the materials I will use to create this painting. I plan on using colors such as green and black; black will convey the darkness of jealousy while green mocks the cliché statement, "green with envy". I will use brush strokes that envelop a slightly angry and frustrated demeanor along with the idea of being caged in by these emotions.
