"You want me to go see that creep? Yeah, there's no way in hell that's happening! No offense Simon." Feyris says, her hands clutched to her binder, as me, her, and Simon make our way through the hallways towards our next class.
"None taken. Not like that's me anyway. I mean it is me, but not like-- you know what I mean. Still getting used to the existence of alternate timelines and everything."
"That's not even mentioning the evil clones of both Kara here, and her brother. Whole things giving me a headache!" Feyris adds, still trying to make sense of what's going on. It only made sense to tell them everything. The clones, and our investigation into them. Simon took it rather easily, but Feyris? This is drastically different from everything she knows. I mean, she was kidnapped almost two months ago, but still. She's used to runways, and photo shoots. It's then that I hear footsteps, the sound coming from behind us. Instinctively turning around, there they are. The evil twins and -- Tycho? What's he doing with them?
"Well well. If it isn't Kara Danvers. Where's your self-righteous brother at these days? Oh, that's right.. He's skipping class.. Not a good look for him. May lead to some fatal consequences." The girl taunts, relishing in the fact she knows where my brother is. She knows exactly the right buttons to push. It leaves me fuming.
"You little---!" I'm about to raise my fist, when Feyris and Simon hold me back. I could break free, and get a punch in if I wanted to, but I shouldn't cause a scene. Especially when they could hurt any one of these students in a blink of an eye.
"Ooh, we're so scared! Whatever will we do sis?" 'Conner pipes up, as he can't stop himself from laughing.
"What are you even doing with those jerks Tycho?" Simon asks, as I try to calm myself down.
"They don't know anyone here Simon. Figured I'd be a decent human being, and be there for them. A friend when they needed one." Tycho replies, with no hesitation in his voice at all. Honestly, this is one of the few times I've ever heard him talk. He mostly stays pretty silent.
"They're bad news man. Just trust me on this." Simon remarks, as I see Shane up ahead. Upon noticing us, Shane starts walking towards us. With that, Tycho leaves with the evil twins. That reminds me.. I need to tell Shane and Tycho the truth. Before Tycho gets himself into even more trouble with those wolves hidden in sheep's clothing. They deserve to know.
"Hey guys! What'd I miss?" Shane asks, noticing Tycho leaving with the twins.
"Not much besides Tycho making friends with those two.." I say, giving a quick glare at them, before looking back at Shane.
"Is that really a bad thing? I mean, the guy has a hard time making friends. I think it's good that he's putting himself out there, getting to know other people."
"If they were normal people, I'd agree. But Shane, they aren't. They're bad news!" I say, almost in a hushed whisper. Not that it matters, they can hear me no matter how quiet I am. There's a moment of silence before I speak up once more. Here we go. Time for me to tell the truth. "There's something I have to tell you. I didn't want to tell you beforehand on the off-chance of you getting hurt because of it. But with what's going on, you need to know." Rounding the corner, we head over to a secluded area of the hallway, where there's hardly any foot traffic. "I'm S-"
"You're Supergirl." He replies, interrupting me mid sentence. He can't help himself from chuckling, as my jaw drops.
"Wait, you knew?" I ask, making sure no ones around us.
"Of course I did. C'mon, did you really think I was that dumb? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Besides, my sister told me about your visit to the D.E.O back in October."
"Oh.. Why didn't you say anything?"
"I figured you'd tell me when you were ready. Turns out, I was right. It's all good Kara. I get why you didn't say anything. Anyways, what does this have to with those two new friends of Tycho's?"
"It's a long story.." I say, as my voice trails off, before giving him a quick summary of recent events. The cliff notes version of course, as it'd probably take us until after school to fully discuss everything. It's then that the school bell rings, letting us know that next period is about to start.
"Guess we better get going.. Don't worry Kara, we'll find your brother. I know a few people who can help. I'll make a few calls after school. For now, just relax, okay?" He reassures me, before sprinting towards his next class. Guessing he has some sway with the D.E.O. I'm gonna need all the help I can get, especially since Harvest won't tell us anything without Feyris visiting him.. Fingers crossed they know something useful. Really don't want any more things to stress about.
