The AMX-13 was a French light tank created during the early Cold War. It's distinctive oscillating turret housed autoloader drums for the main cannon, which depending on the model was either 75mm, 90mm, or 105mm. The AMX-13 was quite mobile but only lightly armored, with a maximum of 40mm of protection. Dozens of variants were built and they were exported to many nations around the world, making it a major success for the French arms industry.
