Spotted Laternfly Wings

"The spotted lanternfly is a planthopper indigenous to parts of Southern China, Taiwan, and Vietnam, and has spread invasively to Japan, South Korea, and the United States."

Yes, I know they are invasive and destructive but man are they beautiful. Photographed at Conowingo Dam in Maryland. I saw at least six of these at Conowingo Dam. I reported my sightings like I was supposed to but I couldn't bring myself to kill them like the Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) has requested.
