Deep blue hour
As Saturday afternoon unfolded the weather and conditions looked to be perfect. I decided to attempt to capture some great blue hour light of our beautiful skyline. Good news was the light was there. The bad news was the wind totally crapped out. There had been a nice light breeze all day long but just as I got into position the flags went still and the smoke from MG&E's chimneys rose straight up. The wind just stopped and it was all I could do to keep a kite up much less lift a camera. So I came back off the frozen lake in the dark with only a couple ground shots and no aerials to show for my effort but having enjoyed a very beautiful calm and peaceful blue hour.
