Biomass Hopper 837006981646 in the consist of 6H94 Hull Biomass LP to Drax PS. 164-6 is one of the latest batch of Biomass Hoppers manufactured by WH Davis. 18.9 metres long and weighing 30.3 tonnes with a payload of 71.6 tonnes of pelletised biomass. Built with a stainless steel bodyshell and aluminium roof doors. Planned to be 200 of these wagons in total bespoke to Drax PS for supply of biomass from Tyne Dock Hull and Immingham. 3 biomass-run units should be in operation at Drax by 2016 each burning about 2.3 million tonnes of pelletised biomass per annum.
